ПРИДІЛ СВЯТОЇ ВЕЛИКОМУЧЕНИЦІ ВАРВАРИ Друк

За ігумена Феодосія Ленчича (між 1668-90) коштом генерального військового суді М. Вуяхевича до північної стіни Михайлівського собору було добудовано низький, зі склепінням мурований приділ з невеличкою банькою над ним для зберігання мощей св. вмц. Варвари, на той час найголовнішої святині Михайлівського монастиря.

У 1712-1715 рр. київський генерал-губернатор Д. Голіцин, за врятування у монастирі в час моровиці 1710-1711 рр., докорінно перебудував Варваринський приділ Михайлівського собору піднявши стіни на 2/3 від висоти давнього ядра. На його пожертву було влаштовано іконостас вівтаря і дерев'яний різблений балдахін над ракою св. вмц. Варвари.

В даний час, щонеділі та у великі свята, у приділі св. вмч. Варвари звершується рання Божественна літургія, яка розпочинаються о 7 годині ранку
